The book Nýmálað/Just Painted will be published, in conjunction with the art exhibitions of the same name, on Friday 5 June. The Reykjavík Art Museum marks the occasion with a book launch at Kjarvalsstaðir at 5pm that day, when the book will be on sale at a special promotional price. The event is open to all. The book is intended to present a cross-section of the creative flourishing of painting in Iceland today. This is the first time that contemporary Icelandic painting is surveyed so extensively.
